Custom Pulses

How to automate repetitive research with scheduled Pulses.

What is a Pulse?

A Pulse is a scheduled, automated research brief. Instead of manually asking Pierce the same tracking questions every week or month, you can configure a Pulse. Pierce will wake up on a cron schedule, run your exact prompt using fresh data, and deliver a comprehensive email report directly to your inbox.

Example Pulses:

  • "Every Friday at 4 PM, summarize the insider selling activity for MSFT, NVDA, and TSLA."
  • "On the 1st of every month, run a DCF valuation on AAPL keeping revenue growth at 5% and output the target intrinsic value."

How to Create a Pulse

  1. Directly from Chat: When you ask a great question that you want repeated, the interface will show a chip suggesting: "Make this a Pulse?". Clicking it will automatically migrate your prompt into the Pulse creator.
  2. From the Sidebar: Click the New Pulse button (⚡ icon) to open the Pulse interface. You can set the name, write the prompt, and choose the frequency.

Managing Pulses

You can view, edit, toggle (pause/resume), and delete your Pulses by clicking on Activity or navigating to /dashboard/pulses.

On the Pulses dashboard, you'll also find the run history for each Pulse, showing whether it succeeded, failed, or was skipped, along with the output preview and the credits used.

Subscription Limits

The number of active Custom Pulses you can maintain depends on your plan:

  • Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG): Pulses are not available.
  • Preferred Tier: Up to 3 active Pulses.
  • Power Tier: Up to 10 active Pulses.
  • Pro Tier: Unlimited Pulses.
